Good Measures is really just me, a guy who geeks on numbers and loves good design.
I’ve always been an obsessively visual thinker, constantly re-imagining the world around me to better suit my aesthetics and need for clarity. This quirk has led me, at various times, to pursue education and careers in both Art & Design and Research & Analytics. Needless to say, information graphics is an easy fit.
For me, information design is a
creative practice, with limitations and opportunities similar to other visual media. My aim is to improve the clarity with which information is received by engaging the
holding the eye of the viewer.
I believe good design can only come from having a strong visual sense. Like other strengths, this can only be developed by constant exercise. In addition to my information design work I also draw, paint, and refinish antiques.
