The disparity between funding sources and amounts for the two sides of Washington state voter initiative I-1185 says a lot about who stood to benefit from it.
The initiative, just one in a stream of anti-tax measures filed by liberal bane Tim Eyman, required a 2/3 supermajority in the Washington state legislature in order to raise taxes.
Voters passed the initiative in 2012, but it was struck down as unconstitutional by the Washington state supreme court in 2013.
